Back In Canada
So now I’m back in Ottawa, and I’m quite happy. Teared up a little bit as the plane was landing and I saw the snow falling. Was a good feeling. I missed the snow, the brisk cold winters, and most importantly, the people. I’m gonna miss Hong Kong too though, mostly the food. Speaking of Hong Kong food, I believe I’ve still got more to say about it! I’ve got a lot, so...

Snacking and Shopping
[Edited and re-posted] So yesterday afternoon (Wed Feb 22nd) was a splendid (hah I just used the word splendid) day of walking around shopping at all the little malls and kiosques and stalls around the kowloon area in Hong Kong. The shopping I don’t need to discuss, but the snacking… oh boy the snacking. It was already a day destined to be filled with food. After my simple breakfast...

I think I've found a new purpose in this tumblr...
FOOD! Yeah. Gonna post a lot about food. Currently in Hong Kong, so I shall post about my delcious adventures of the edible variety during my stay here. My previous post was about Food Republic (大食代) food court chain. It is a good way to start this food-blogging. If you’re ever in Hong Kong and you’re not sure what kinda food you want to eat, or if you just don’t want to...

Back In Hong Kong
After about a week in Harbin, I am now back in Hong Kong. Harbin was nice. Really wasn’t that much to see, but I wasn’t fussed. It was nice to be there. Was nice to see that important crazy person again. And I did see things that I wanted to see, and more or less did the things I wanted to do. Things weren’t exactly as I’d hoped or expected, things had changed, there were...

Heritage and Historical Sites of Macau
On the first day in Macau, we first went to see the one remaining wall of the Ruins of St Pauls. It was pretty cool. It really was just one remaining wall (doesn’t look very stable really…), the rest of it was burned down hundreds of years ago. It is definitely quite the tourist attraction. Nearby, there was also a fortress with very interesting history and facts. This is the one...

Macau Part of Trip
Macau was… differently interesting. It’s a kind of place I’ve never been around in my adult life (I’ve been to Vegas a couple times before, but that was as a child, and I didn’t understand what was going on). Macau is the new gambling center of the world. The Casinos. They are massive. Especially the newer, more modern looking ones. “The Venetian”,...

ShenZhen Resort
So on Monday the 6th of February, we went to a resort in ShenZhen, to experience a bit of mainland China. Was a VERYYYYYY nice resort. With very nice views (as can be seen from the photos of the green mountains on previous post of pictures). There was lots to see at this resort. A show about the making of tea (traditions and etc.), a lot of views of mountainous areas for...

It's Time! Picture Post (If you're seeing this...
Alright. Some free time (inability to leave at the moment, so I think I will take this opportunity by letting everyone in on my wonderful trip so far). I’ll start with this post about the first part of the trip. (Also, pictures posted here will be from my camera. I still have some that are worth seeing taken by my phone, but I’ll keep it simple for now.) Alright, here we go....

Trip to Hong Kong / China so far...
So I’ve been here for about half a week so far, and I realized I haven’t posted anything about it so far. Everything’s good. Fun. Excellent. Lots of experiences, lots of pictures, lots of shoes. A pair of which now newly belongs to me! I’ll post some pictures later. When I’ve got some time. Probably will be a while from now. Maybe when I’m @...

Left VS Right
This is something I’ve wondered about endlessly. Is everyone in this an either/or situation? Or are there people who are clearly in the middle, or seemingly a complete mish-mash of things? The left brain is about logic and understanding and facts and hard numbers kinda thing, where as the right brain is more creative and emotional and spontaneous.  But… where exactly would I stand?...

"You must work out."
Today is pretty much a day that cannot be ruined. Really cannot. All the trip stuff, getting everything done, even getting my shots was enjoyable. At the travel clinic (the last stop that I really needed to go to before I leave), I got some nurse lady to give me the shots that were recommended for me before I head off to the opposite side of the world. Two shots: tetanus / diphtheria booster +...

All set to go!
Just picked up my visitor’s visa into China, and now I’m ready, set, and raring to go! One week from tomorrow I will be on a plane heading to Hong Kong, and it is absolutely gonna rock my socks off. For the next couple weeks, I will be nothing but happy. Gonna go touring, sightseeing, shopping, and just plain exploring for the first week in Hong Kong, along with seeing some relatives...

Tomorrow is Chinese New Years. This also means lots of food. The day after is The “Start” of the new year. This means lots of leftover food to eat. It’s pretty...

Freezing Rain
Freezing rain. I hate what you do to the roads. I hate what you do to my car. I hate what you do to my porch, front steps, and driveway. But… You sure do make wonderful art.

Bought me Sunglasses!
I just spent a lot of money on sunglasses (because I require glasses, and don’t currently use contacts, they are prescription sunglasses, therefore cost a lot of $$). ..They arrive in 10-12 days. Estimated 10-12 days. Hopefully they are ready for when I leave for my trip. For those of you wondering how they look, I’m sorry they they haven’t arrived and I have yet to take a...

Mmm Winter.
Heavy snow Just a little brisk Not very windy Shoveling driveway Burning forearms Drenched hair Foggy glasses Cleaning snow off car Sitting outside enjoying nature Winter. I love it. There isn’t one part of today so far that hasn’t been near perfect. I only say near perfect because perfection is but a dream, and is dependent on who’s definition of perfection...

Happy New Years
Happy New Years! That’s my 2nd last sparkler. It made me feel good.  This past year wasn’t fantastic. It wasn’t without its good parts, but all in all, it was more a less a sub-par year for me. Things occurred this year that were the WORST in my life so far. Absolute WORST. Also, things occurred in this year that were also the BEST in my life. I won’t exactly get into...
